On Tuesday, June 14, the Ivey Alumni Network Toronto (IANT) will be hosting its 7th Annual Ivey Venture Forum, an exciting event that brings together Canadian entrepreneurs and investors for a high-tempo and interactive session. Five pre-selected startups will pitch their company to a panel of judges and live audience, with the winning company being announced at the end of the event. In previous years, the Forum has seen hundreds of entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, investors and start-up enthusiasts engage with one another to develop professional contacts and source business opportunities.

The five startups selected to pitch at this year’s Venture Forum include:

  • CleanSlate UV – an easy-to-use device that provides a 360 degree clean of hand-held electronics in just 10–30 seconds. With a 4-log reduction (lower the number of germs by 10,000 times) in the hardest-to-kill superbugs and compliance tracking software, CleanSlate UV brings a solution to the question of portable electronic sanitization.
  • Collage – a free, all-in-one HR platform for SMBs that syncs employee data with any payroll or benefits provider.
  • Payment Rails – a global payout platform that pays any person or company in any country or currency using any payment method through a single API integration.
  • Sampler – an end-to-end digital sampling platform that allows brands like The Body Shop, RITZ Crackers, and Garnier to target a very specific market sample, and gather deep demographic information about their consumers.
  • Tract Systems – a SaaS solution that allows field service companies (HVAC, plumbing, etc.) to operate their businesses in a single application with functionalities including CRM, scheduling, invoicing, inventory management, and more.

During the judges’ deliberations we will also spotlight the budding start-up, Wealthsimple – founded by a local Ivey alum.
