Our Panel:

Professor Nadine de Gannes, HBA ’09

Nadine de Gannes is Faculty Director of the HBA Program and an Assistant Professor in Managerial Accounting and Control, and Sustainability. Nadine is also member of Ivey’s EDI Advisory Council. She holds a Masters and PhD in Accounting from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and an HBA from Ivey Business School. In taking a sociological perspective in both her research and teaching, Nadine explores the interrelationships between accounting, power, and perceptions of worth. For her doctoral research, Nadine studied executive compensation, the rise of executive pay consultants and pay benchmarking practices. Her research interests now encompass the integration of ESG metrics into executive compensation, internal control systems and organizational culture.

Deborah Rosati, FCPA, FCA, ICD.D GCB.D, CCB.D

Deborah Rosati, an award-winning corporate director and entrepreneur, has been defined in three interconnected ways throughout her 35-year career – as a corporate governance champion, catalyst for change and community builder. As the founder and CEO of Women Get On Board Inc. (WGOB), an 850-member social-purpose company, Deborah is building a community of the next generation of women corporate directors, advancing equity, diversity & inclusion (EDI), collaboration, courage, and confidence in the boardroom. Deborah is a leading and serving corporate director and is currently chairing the board of Profound Impact Corporation. She has chaired many public company audit committees and nominating & corporate governance committees. In addition, Deborah has led and served on numerous special committees with various mandates (including going public, going private, M&A, restructuring and special investigations). Deborah’s passion for good governance and board diversity is rooted in her board journey when she was often the only woman in the boardroom. These first-hand experiences cemented Deborah’s conviction that having more women on boards makes better business sense.

Chris Lynch, MBA ‘98

As a Partner with Deloitte Canada, Chris Lynch has advised Board and Executive clients for more than 20 years on issues of strategy and transformation across various sectors including Industrials, Financial Services, Aviation and Public Sector. In addition to Chris’s marketplace and client responsibilities, Chris was elected in 2022 to serve on Deloitte Canada’s Board of Directors on which Chris co-chairs the Client, Industries and Markets Committee while also being an active member of the Culture, Purpose and People Committee. Prior to this, Chris was a member of Deloitte Canada’s Executive Leadership Team and served as Managing Partner for Monitor Deloitte in Canada (Deloitte’s strategy consulting practice).
